The Terracotta Army is one of the most popular and interesting archaeological sites in China, listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. It represents an ensemble of 8101 terracotta statues of warriors and horses with carriages, constructed over 38 years, from 246 to 208 BCE. The Terracotta Army is located in the mausoleum of the first Chinese Emperor - Qin Shi Huang near the city of Xi’an, in the Chinese province of Shaanxi.
